BROOKLYN VETERINARY HOSPITAL

Our Wonderful Support Staff

We would not survive without them.

Our staff help with treatments, surgeries, the everyday chores, and keep us organized.

They assist clients, in many ways: answering questions about appointments,

general care, and their pets needs.

They function both as receptionists ~ the first face to welcome you in our doors,

and, as technicians ~ assisting us all in giving the best care possible for your companion.

Joyce has been with Brooklyn Veterinary Hospital for 20 years.  She is kept busy with her responsibilities as head technician, as well as offering a 'Puppy Kindergarten' monthly for puppies up to 4 months of age.  In warmer weather she also expands her interest in socialization and training to include full training classes for dogs of all ages.  Her spare time (?) is occupied with her own dogs, which are part of a successful, longterm Labrador Retriever breeding program.

Candace joined the staff of Brooklyn Veterinary Hospital in 2008, bringing to our hospital several years of experience as a veterinary technician.  Her bright smile and warm greeting are relaxing to many a pet and their owner, in what can sometimes be a stressful environment.  Candace has a particular fondness for long bodied, short legged friends, but doesn't exclude the worth of any furry companion.  She enjoys all aspects of being a technician, but especially loves her role as a veterinary dental hygienist, in helping restore health to her patient's mouth.

Autumn' s cheery greeting when you walk in the front door of Brooklyn Veterinary Hospital lets one know they are in a place that cares about you, and your pet.  She has been welcoming the clients and their 'friends' through the doors of Brooklyn Veterinary Hospital for 6 years now.

Christine is fairly new to our staff but she has brought with her several years of experience both in RI, and more locally at Bolton Veterinary Hospital.  She rounds out our primary receptionist staff.  Don't be taken aback by her quietness - she has a keen sense of humor, and enjoys our clients, their children, and their pets immensely.

Kassondra joined Brooklyn Veterinary Hospital following completion of the Quinebaug Valley Community College  veterinary assistant program in 2009.  She works both as a technician, and receptionist, pitching in on the front lines, helping Autumn and Christine, as the need arises.  She is admirably developing her 'juggling' skills, as the demands of veterinary medicine sometimes require wearing several hats - all at once!

Kayla also came to Brooklyn Veterinary Hospital as a fellow graduate with Kassondra of the Quinebaug Valley Community College veterinary assistant program.  She came to us new to veterinary medicine, and has been a cheerful, and willing staff member, in what can be a demanding field.

Our newest staff member is Karen.  She brings to our staff many years of experience in veterinary medicine, along with new ideas, and a warm greeting for all: staff, clients, and pets, alike.  We were glad she was available when we needed help - we are all benefiting from her becoming a staff member.
